Tuesday Eve.
Dear Mom + Dad,
I’m just going to write a short note tonight. I’m trying to catch up on my correspondence. For some reason it all piled up on me over the weekend. This is the fifth letter today and I still have two to go, so you can see I’m pretty well snowed under. It all seemed to come at once.
I’m still attending that non com school. I understand it will be a break for me and it will give me a chance for a rating. I’m going to try my best as it will be a great help to have a few stripes when I go before the examining board again for the O.C.S. Of course that is my ultimate goal and every little bit helps. I think the ratings are coming out at the end of the month. I’ll probably get corporal stripes, if anything. You know how hard it is to be sure of anything in the army but I have hopes that this may be a break.
I’m back to my normal self again today. I went to bed last night and got a good night rest. That fixed me up fine and I’ve felt good all day. I really dragged around all yesterday due to the lack of sleep.
I’ll write again tomorrow and a little longer + a little better.
