Tuesday Morning
Dear Mom + Dad,
This is going to be short but I’ll write another later today. I have my applications in for air corp officers school and I need some letters of recommendation in a hurry. Can you contract Mr. Scott, Mr. Blackshear and Father Fleming and get letters for me. When and if you can get them ship them to me air mail and I need them in a hurry.
If things go as planned I enter school on August 7th. I have to work like the devil to get all the stuff but we have a quota of 7 men to go from this camp then and I want to make it as soon as possible. Try to get them back to me before the end of the month.
In the letters mention my character, leadership, what I’ve done and try to have them state that I’d be a good officer material
